I read the reviews and must remind people that Italian food in Florida is not Italian in New York. That said I thought the service and food were both far above average for this part of the country... everything is relative.

Cafe Sapori is like a hidden gem. Upon arriving the valet greeted us with a smile, then we were greeted by the door by the manager and escorted to our table. It has a very nice atmosphere. We started off with the Mixed green salad with zucchini, tomatoes and shaved Parmesan cheese. It was very good. All I can say is the bread was delicious and they kept bringing more out without asking. Dinner was ricotta cheese dumplings on a delicious vodka sauce, and two generous sized chicken cutlets with Parma prosciutto in a lemon wine sauce. For dessert I had coffee and the best ever Tiramisu, it was delicious!! The food is fantastic and our waiter was fabulous! I was there with a group of people and I loved how they served the ladies first!! Very classy!! I would definitely recommend going to Cafe Sapori.

Long time fan! My family has frequented Cafe Sapori since they opened and still come here frequently. Italian restaurants come and go in Palm. Cafe Sapori is in it for the long run providing superior food and service we have come to count on over the years as many others come and go. We know we'll get exactly what we want and that consistency is much appreciated. The staff couldn't be kinder regardless of their position. The valets are just as good as the wait staff and the managers. Total class act all around. That being said, my family tends to get the same dishes here during each visit. We call it our comfort food. On occasion we'll try a daily special which we're always more than pleased with. Still we have our favorites! Anything with artichokes is guaranteed to be delicious. The first thing I ever had here many years ago was the gnocchi. As filling as it is I still find myself ordering it as a guilty pleasure as a once or twice a year treat. It's quite filling so I often have leftovers I share with the rest of the table. During the rest of the year, for something lighter, I stick with the Penne Piccanti. The sauce is amazing. I believe they also do half portions but it's not indicated on the menu. If you ask they'll be more than happy to give a smaller portion. The chef is magnificent and accommodating regardless of the request and is especially attentive to allergies. We have a few crazy allergies in our family and, knock on wood, have never had a problem here. So many thanks to the waiters and chefs for taking our allergies into consideration! Overall, don't waste your time on the other severely overpriced Italian restaurants flooding the vicinity. You cannot go wrong here. Both the food and the people will leave you happy.
Love this place!!! It is one of my favorite in Palm Beach area. I have been there several times with a friend of mine to have lunch, dinner, late night, etc... From the host to the waiters and servers everyone is very attentive and knowledgeable. The environment in this Italian restaurant is quiet and very classic with an interior design that it is modern and very cozy having fresh flowers abound. My friend know very well the owners and senior staff which always are very attentive and courteous. I went there for dinner and I had LATTUGA ROMANA ALLA CESARE (Caesar salad) which it was really well prepared & served, and I had SPAGHETTI CON POLPETTE (Spaghetti with meatballs) which it was very tasteful & well prepared, cooked & served. Dessert is a MUST HAVE, and I enjoy very much the TORTINO AL GIANDUIA E ZABAIONE ( Warm chocolate cake with old zabaione sauce and hazelnut gianduia ice cream). Also, they have a very variety Wine List, and of them are very full body & tasteful. I will recommended it as an amazing dinner experience!!!

Was not happy with the rushed service. Taking plates before finished and asking us to leave table because others were waiting. We were not there for 1 1/2 hrs at that point. Barely enough time to finish desserts. Will not return

I was here with a large group for a party, so I really have no idea what the prices were. I'll say that the service was fine, but we were 50+ people on the back patio so it's not like we had the typical service experience that two people at one table might get. I WILL SAY that the food was Just Okay at best. Seriously, if y'all a paying a lot of money for this, then y'all are getting TAKEN. I have had MUCH BETTER ITALIAN at small, local to-go only places in Northern New Jersey (Enzo's in Montclair, Angelo's in Bloomfield) than I had here. Chicken breasts pound thin - no problem with that, but you end up with more BREADING than actual chicken. So the Pollo Milanese? Nothing to write home about. The Pollo Parmiagano? Nothing to write home about. I had the Pappardelle with Bolognese sauce. Guess what? Nothing to write home about. Biggest problem with all these dishes? LACK OF FLAVOR. Just not trying, no finesse, no flair. It was all very mediocre. No pizzazz, nothing to make you go "Oooh!" or "Yummmm." Just, "eh." Seriously - all this food tasted like average DINER interpretations of Italian food, not Fine Italian dining interpretations of Italian dishes. If you don't love making food, maybe you should go back to selling cars, or carpentry or whatever you were doing before you became a cook. Meanwhile, it was freakin' PACKED there on a Saturday night. So, I'm guessing maybe there is NOWHERE ELSE FOR YOU TO GO if you live in West Palm Beach? Is that possible? A nice crowd of beautiful people, young and old. But, given what I'm guessing the prices are, the food was seriously UNDER-whelming. Feel free to go and find out for yourself. Just be sure to post a review. Maybe when 15 - 20 people all say the same thing they will start to get the message.

Ate here for the first time recently and was absolutely blown away. They have an incredible menu and I wish I could have sampled more, but what I did eat was fantastic. My wife and I shared the grilled calamari and mini crabcakes appetizers and they were both delicious. For dinner I had the osso bucco and it was one of the best I have ever had. Everyone at our table raved about their meal. I look forward to eating here next time I'm in West Palm.

Stopped in here early on a Tuesday after a day of traveling. I came in straight from the airport, tired and hungry. The place was empty as I got inside just before any other people arrived for dinner, but after everyone was gone from the lunch crowd. I was so tired and hungry that almost anything would have been well received. I had parts of the roasted artichokes and the cesare salad. The service was very good and the bread looked tasty. By the time my entree arrived, the Pollo Arrostito, a chicken with lemon, dried figs, rosemary and potatoes, I was feeling human again. This was a great dish. Although I don't remember any dried figs, instead they had a fig reduction sauce on the chicken. I plan on going back on a night were I am ready to fully experience the restaurant. In the meantime it provided an excellent repast after a difficult day.

We came just after opening on a Saturday morning so the restaurant was mostly empty. Our server was very patient and friendly. The food is at least a 4.5/5. I could taste the grill marks on the chicken in my sandwich, but the bread is excellent. My grandmother drooled over her sea bass. She'd had it before and says it's the best she's had and she is somewhat of a sea bass connoisseur. My grandfather was disappointed with the amount of salmon in his meal. My mom loved the mixed bean soup and her pizza was delicious. It's a little pricey but the food is worth it.

Don't GO! Something has changed in the last couple years. From the first impression to the last it was tragic. The greasy haired flannel shirt hostess in sneakers could barely be bothered with greeting us. Our waiter rolled his eyes when we asked for the wine list. The staff could not be bothered, the management was oblivious to everyone and the customers and at 9:30 the staff was flipping the chairs over our heads to close as they served us the bill. Terrible service, chauvinistic, crass staff. The food was very good but we would NEVER go back as they couldn't wait to get out of there and us out of there at 10:00 pm. They have Palm Beach prices and trying to claim they are just as good. Go to Palm Beach instead!

Get to this restaurant while you can still get a reservation. The service, ambiance, wonderful diversity of the menu and the chef are fantastic. While everything is superb, what struck me most was the blending of flavors among the vegetables and the fish, pasta or beef. Sublime, subtle and marvelously delicious.

I had the pleasure of dining with a friend . The ambiance was beautiful with works of art adorning the walls. As the sun goes down, the lights followed and we find ourselves dining by candlelight. I started off with a gorgeous salad. Mixed greens on a bed of thinly sliced and roasted zucchini surround by roma tomatoes and topped with a shaved slice of Parmesan cheese. Next came a sauteed chicken cutlet with Parma prosciutto in a lemon wine sauce. Simply outstanding. It was served with ricotta cheese dumplings in a pink vodka sauce. The food was delicious. The best Italian food I have ever eaten. I am not a fan of Tiramlsu. My friend encouraged me to order it. And now I know why I never liked it. All restaurants I have had it did not know how to make it. Well this was not to be with Cafe Sapori. It came to the table as a small cake . It was made with an outstanding expresso sauce. It was so heavenly, so light, so fluffy. It just melted in your mouth. An explosion of mana sent from heaven. It awoken a multitude of taste buds. If you want Tiramisu, this is the restaurant to have it in. You will not be disappointed. Service was excellent. I will be back. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Love this place. People staff food service ambiance is always on point. Margarita pizza is fresh along worth the bread. Gnocchi Sapori is always always a safe and delectable bet. One of those bets where you eat far more than you honestly should. Drinks are strong. But most importantly the people and the service is what keeps myself and my family coming back. Can't wait to be back up in west palm again soon.

Visited a friend in West Palm Beach and introduced me to this classy Italian restaurant. It was a Sunday evening around 9pm and the place was already empty. They probably only had 2 other tables with couples. A very energetic server greeted us and sat us right away. I was impressed with his knowledge of the menu and enthusiasm. Started with La Bruschetta, toasted Italian bread topped with diced fresh tomato and roasted peppers, hearts of palm and octopus. Very fresh and the bread was toasted just right..not burnt. I ordered the Grilled European Sea Bass in oil and lemon with diced mixed vegetables. Wow, fresh, flaky and simple ingredients done right. My friend got the Braised veal ossobuco with saffron risotto. Tender and juicy...served in perfect temperature, and the risotto was excellent as well. I just wish the place was more alive with people. Maybe we came in the wrong night? But then again, the busier the place is...the food quality suffer sometimes. The food and service in this establishment were more than satisfactory...they know how to execute a fine dining experience. Will try to come back when I visit West Palm next time.

This was such a classy restaurant!! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! I had the chicken cutlet with lemon wine sauce that also came with homemade ricotta cheese pasta with vodka sauce. The bread was delicious and they kept bringing more to the table without asking. I had gelato which was creamy and delicious!! I would definitely go back!!

Its funny how sometimes the best places to go are the ones we seem to overlook just because they are too close or too familiar. With Cafe Sapori being less than a half mile from my home, I'm guilty as charged. But a girlfriend suggested we meet for a drink the other night to catch up and what was suppose to be a brief get together over one or two cocktails at the bar , turned into a full evening of dining delight. Starting at the bar we decided to move to a table to share a couple appetizers. The presentation and amazing flavors of what was served was a pleasant surprise, everything was perfectly seasoned and of the highest quality. It seemed the obvious choice for us was to step it up with a fabulous bottle of wine to compliment the Mozzarella Burrata and beef carpaccio. Naturally after this entrees were a must! After sharing the incredible veal meatballs and the perfect scaloppini, it struck me that one of the best Italian restaurants in Palm Beach county has literally been in my back yard. Francesco Blanco, the owner has the gift of combining the perfect balance of simplicity and elegance. Anyone who knows Francesco from his previous gig, managing Bice in Palm Beach knows what I'm talking about. All the best things Bice became known for in the 1990's came from this man and his attention to detail - he has created an atmosphere that's fun, classic, sexy and elegant without being stuffy or feeling old. And while people still flock to Bice given its great location off Worth Avenue, the sparkle it had moved over the bridge with Francesco to the restaurant he opened known as Cafe Sapori. The staff is buttoned up and offers a level of service that is professional, personable and friendly. I've made the mistake of not going here nearly as often as I should (something that will change moving forward) yet I was greeted by the Maître de as if I had dined there just days before. The dining room is very pretty with the ever present breath taking center piece , an explosion of white orchids that is always so beautiful that it is hard to believe its actually real. And if you prefer dining al fresco, the garden patio is always a nice comfortable option. In closing I will say that Francesco and his staff delivered an evening that surpassed all of my expectations once again supporting my belief that the best restaurants are the ones where the owner is the operator - Cafe Sapori is no exception to this rule!

Sapori is almost A-OK, but with so many "almosts," I just can't go any higher. Here is the break down: Parking Big fat one-star-tastrohe. No parking anywhere around the restaurant. Everything is valet. The only parking lot available is across a busy and wide street in an unlit gravel lot. Major major fail. Service: Somewhere between a 2 and 3. Our lot was rather boisterous and our server clearly disapproved. I was less than impressed in this department. Food: The cuisine was a solid three stars. My gnocchi was tasty, but nothing extraordinary. I sampled various appetizers as they passed around the table. The only one that caught my attention was a perfectly prepared calamari. The rest was a pass. Atmosphere: The ambiance is late 80's golden girls chic, a staple here in South Florida. 2 stars. Price: One star. The pricing here is out of control and, like another Italian place (whose name we dare not speak here), I cry out in indignation at the prices on this menu. My gnocchi was $25. For $25, the plate was a small and unappetizing-looking mound of potato pieces swimming in an unappealing orange/brown gravy with bits of bacon and asparagus here and there. The presentation was inelegant, the taste unremarkable, and the entire experience unremarkable... and this review began to take form as we dodged cars crossing Southern to get to the parking gravel across the street.

Actually tried this place for the first time recently. The food was pretty good. Don't look for quantity here, but quality. The service is very attentive. While the atmosphere is very nice, the acoustics lend themselves to getting noisy once they have a near full-house. But we really enjoyed ourselves at this new place and would consider it again.

Cafe Sapori clearly has its fans: we visited on a Saturday night in February and the place was packed. However, the average age was approximately 70, which should've been the first clue to what was in store. After being seated, we waited a good fifteen minutes for a waiter to welcome us, which was done with all the warmth of a janitor in an old folks' home. We ordered the Avocado and Beet Salad ($17) to split, the Sausage Ravioli special ($24), and the Spaghetti with Scallops and Asparagus ($24), asking specifically that the scallops be well-done. In another twenty minutes or so, the Avocado and Beet Salad arrived. Technically, it should be called Guacamole and Beet Salad, because the avocados were mashed, except that guacamole would likely have more flavor. In fact, we could not remember a more tasteless and boring dish priced more outrageously. Next, the entrees. When they arrived, I immediately sent the Ravioli back, because it was cold. The Scallop dish, while hotter, had undercooked scallops, despite our specific request. When we finally received our meals, our waiter never returned to ask how the meal was, and even had to be chased down for more drinks. In due deference, the Ravioli, once heated, was quite good, because the sausage added enough spice to make it interesting. The Scallop dish, however, maintained the incredibly tasteless boredom of the salad. More than half of the dish went uneaten. Mentioning these issues to our waiter was met with an argument. A similar response was received from the manager, although he did offer to do something "next time." Um, there will be no next time, sir. Life is far too short for this food. Upon reflection, the age of the clientele is critical here: bland, tasteless food is often a dietary requirement of the elderly. If that description fits you, then by all means rush over to Cafe Sapori when you visit Palm Beach. Otherwise, frequent one of the many other venues that aren't afraid to use a spice rack.

One of my favorite Italian places in Palm Beach. My favorites: POLPETTE DI VITELLO ALLA MARINARA (veal meatballs) - extremely tender meatballs. The marinara is also delicious. Dip the bread in the remaining marinara from the meatballs. PIZZA CON SALAME: a pretty basic pizza but very well executed. Ingredients are fresh and baked perfectly. Very tasty. LASAGNA ALLA BOLOGNESE (lasagna with veal meat sauce): I'm a huge fan of this because I hate ricotta. There is no ricotta in this lasagna. Wish I could have this every week. The lasagna noodle has a good texture. Overall my favorite pasta there, more so than the PAPPARDELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE (felt that dish was too mushy). The wait staff is highly knowledgeable and can make good recommendations and pairings. Wait staff prepared the ladies at my table a special pasta which was very basic but tasted amazing (pretty sure it was just fresh pasta, butter, an Italian cheese and prosciutto). I highly recommend Cafe Sapori.

For the main dish, I chose the Combinazione Sapori which included hand rolled ricotta cheese dumplings alla vodka and sautèed chicken cutlet with Parma prosciutto in a lemon and white wine sauce. I love trying multiple items, so the combination dish was perfect for me! To tell you the truth, when I usually come here, I rarely get meat or poultry, I generally stick with my favorite - the pasta, but I'm glad I did because the chicken was divine. It was pounded into thin cutlets that were tender and markedly more flavorful than their thicker counterparts, the citrus-y sauce pervaded the entire cutlet and was perfectly topped off with the salty prosciutto. The pasta was al dente which is very difficult to do with homemade cuts, and the vodka sauce was creamy and tangy, always a classic. In fact, my friend couldn't keep her fork off my plate and kept stealing my pasta throughout the evening! To read the rest of my review, check out my blog - City Lights and Tasty Bites

Everything at Cafe Sapori is so delicious! The clams in white sauce with linguini, the fried calamari, the specials (sea bass and veggies, ravioli with special sauce ) ...the atmosphere. I love it there, especially for special occasions!

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. Despite the place being crowded we got a table right away. As far as the food goes, it was ok. Not outstanding or something I would crave or come back for. I've had better Italian food at smaller hole in the wall restaurants for much cheaper. We shared a pizza which was dry and didn't have the right sauce and cheese ratio. For our entrees I had the gnocchi which tasted like airplane food and my husband had the fettuccine which was bland and did not have enough sauce. However the service was good.

Don't let the address or he neighborhood fool you, this is a solid Italian restaurant with great service from the moment you enter their courtyard and hand over your car to the valet. As you enter there is a bar area that seems to be filled with well heeled locals. The host brings you into a beautiful high ceilinged room with wood beams and l wish the weather was right for outdoor seating on the patio because it looks great. The menu hits all the right notes with osso buco and pasta vongole. The wine list is authentically Italia-centric with some good choices in the low and medium price range. The appetizers were a standout with grilled artichoke heatrs and tuna tartar as favorites. The nest course (salads) was as colorful as it was tasty: The salad of julienned vegetables was beautiful. The Cesar, a respectable salad with lots of regianno and anchovies if you want them. For the entree, I had the salmon which is risky being a pacific nortwesterner on the east coast; it was awesome. Grilled with sear marks and crispy on the outside, tender and a little pink in the middle on the inside. If I had to be picky, I'd say the plastic coated menus should be replaced. They remind one of a diner menu and they are dog eared and not too clean. Get some nice covers and stock paper so the menu is befitting the rest of the establishment and you'll hit all the right notes. Even so, i can't wait to go back during season and sit on the patio!

Came here with M's grandparents who know the owner, so we didn't have any service issues. But what I can say is... it's Palm Beach. We started with the bean soup and it was really delicious (and filling!). So was the salmon and asparagus risotto... YUM. The bread and wine were also great, and the actual restaurant space is very pretty. We may have gotten special treatment but this place is a definite 4 stars in my book!

My wife and I dined out at Cafe Sapori Valentine's day and despite the frenetic crowds our dinner was good. We sat outside (first available) which was nice on a pleasant winter South Florida evening. If you want a more intimate environment the outside is better as the restaurant and bar area are noisy. On the other hand, the main dining room and bar area was vibrant and it's easy to see enjoying a full meal there. We enjoyed drinks there as we waited for our table. Service was attentive and the food was quite good - only our appetizer was mediocre (artichokes). My wife had her favorite Italian dish (Gnocchi) and I had the Seafood Risotto - both were excellent. Our dinner with app, main course, one dessert to share, sparkling water and three cocktails was $125 sans tip. That's not a lot more than you'd pay at a chain for an average meal and you wouldn't get near the ambiance or food quality.

If the service wasn't so bad and the maitre de wasn't so snotty the food in this restaurant is passable but not great. I was just there tonight and I got the feeling they thought they were doing me a favor. I won't return the favor and won't return to this overrated greasy spoon. Take my advice and go to La Sirena or Jean Pierre in Palm Beach to experience top notch dining.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

With so darn many Italian restaurants to choose from but so few really good ones, it was a real treat for me to run into Café Sapori. As with most really good Italian foods, it's all in having uniquely distinct flavors in a dish of deceivingly simply preparation and as far that would define it, Café Sapori definitely delivered. I had a unique octopus, shaved thin mixed into a perfectly textured home made pasta, covered in a white sauce of cheese, mushroom and other ingredients that proved to be totally delicious having a superb balance of flavors. My dinning companion had the Fettuccini Integrali al Cinghaile which consisted of a wheat pasta, wild boar sausage, leeks and shitake mushrooms. Again, it was delightful, well balanced and distinct with robust full bodied flavors. The restaurant itself is superbly appointed with a pleasant clean well organized stately appearance. I'd go Five Stars, but since this was only my first dinning experiences here and consider consistency as being one of the most important factors in rating a restaurant, I can only go Four Star plus. Another very nice feature of Cafe Sapori is that you can make your reservations with Yelp.

Also, they have a very variety Wine List, and of them are very full body & tasteful. I will recommended it as an amazing dinner experience!!!

Best meal we've had in ages! All 3 of us were happy. And the desserts were to die for!

Beautiful interior, great pasta, truly a Palm Beach eatery located in West Palm Beach.

Excellent and authentic Italian food! Great atmosphere and service! Love the staff and they treat you like gold! Inside and outside eating and always a pleasure while there!

Great food and service...little pricey but, good deals on traditional Italian favorites.

This is my favorite Italian spot in West Palm. Great flatbreads, lots of veal choices which are delicious. Also many house-made pastas. The chocolate cake with hazelnut ice cream is amazing.

This is a wonderful venue if you are after an authentic Italian meal! The traditional Italian pasta is to die for! Wine list is predominantly Italian. Service is outstanding!

Great Italian food. If you are from the north east is probably one of the better Italian restaurants you will find in the area. I get the chicken parmesan every time I go.
(4)MJ W.

LOVE their salmon! Great selection of appetizers. Great steaks and salads. Palm Beach like atmosphere located in West Palm. Small location. Valet only.
(3)J. C. G.
Outstanding food, not terribly pricey for Palm Beach...from the people that brought you the only Bice location in the U.S. worth eating at (the one across the ICW).
